Autumn Trend: Tartan

Everywhere I looked on Saturday, there was tartan. I started having bets with myself in my head! Was there actually anyone who didn't wear tartan to the fashion shows last week?! To be honest, I seen this coming with the printed skinny pants trend a while back... and bought myself red tartan skinny pants from Topshop. I love them by the way, they are like an absolute staple in my wardrobe. I love dressing them down with vans and an old t shirt, and dressing them up with a high pointy heel for an effortless, glam night-time look.
I love tartan, I always have, it reminds me of snuggling up, all cozy, in the winter! I also think its really feminine and pretty and can bring a bit of femininity to even the grungiest of outfits! I 110% plan on going wild buying tartan pieces this season from jackets and shirts right down to accessories!

Be Pink for October

This October, so many amazing people are doing so much for Cancer charities. Taking part in campaigns such as Stoptober & Sober for October is an amazing way to help raise the much-needed money for research and medical help for those battling cancer and their families. Whether you decide to get sponsored yourself or if you can make any donation- every penny helps!
October is the official Breast Cancer Awareness month and it is so important to get yourself involved as much as you can! There are so many amazing pink goodies to buy (practically everywhere) to support this cause- and something for everyone's price range! Click this link here for ideas on how you can help!

1. Nail Polish- Essie ; 2. Ugg Australia Boots- Ugg Australia ; 3. Chan Luu Bracelet- Chan Luu
4. Dream Lip Collection- Estee Lauder ; 5. Tickled Pink Slogan Tee- Asda

Trend: Lingerie Inspired

Lace trimmed camisoles, spaghetti strap satin slips and sheer tops are popping up everywhere! And i'm not talking about the lingerie section! All over the runways at Fashion Week, I noticed a very obvious trend- the lingerie look!
To be perfectly honest, I have always loved this idea, because like most women, on occasion (most of the time), I like to feel feminine and pretty... and what is more feminine and pretty than lace and silk?!
I think this look, if done well, can look amazingly classy too- as well as totally sexy!

Here are some of my favorite lingerie-inspired pieces at the moment!

1. Playsuit- Oh My Love ; 2. Slip Dress- Love @ asos ; 3. Lace Slip Dress- Oh My Love
4. Dress- Jones + Jones ; 5. Lace Cami- Zara ; 6. Velvet Teddy Playsuit- Topshop

Look for Less: Kate Middleton!

This past week, all i've heard are girls everywhere lusting over Kate Middleton's first post-baby dress!
I have to admit, the beautiful cornflower-blue, polkadot dress was top of my 'must-have' list until I quickly realised it was Jenny Packham haute couture, and therefore unavailable for purchase... damn!
I suppose it won't be long before high street stores, and even other high end designers, produce look-a-like dresses but as soon as I seen Kate's, I literally haven't stopped looking!
By the way, I totally love the feminine, figure emphasizing cut of Kate's Jenny Packham dress and I completely admire her for showing off her beautiful post-baby body- what an excellent role model to new mums everywhere! Shame on you OK! magazine!

Celebrity Look for Less - Vanessa Hudgens!

I loved Vanessa Hudgens' girly but edgy look at the 'New Myspace' Launch Party back in June, however at the moment I cannot justify spending almost £1000 on one outfit! (Even though at some point, I will need those Valentino 'Rockstud' heels in my life!)

So since then I have been looking for a similar look for less that won't bankrupt me!

Look for Less: Studded Heels- River Island ; Bowling Jacket- Zara

... Not bad, if I do say so myself! The River Island heels are missing the fabulous straps that the Valentinos have, but at £15 rather than £610 I suppose I can't really complain! Just pair with a basic black tank/ tee, rolled up boyfriend jeans and some punky jewellery!

Shopping and Dinner!

On Thursday evening, Alex & I went shopping in Liverpool to check out the amazing sales (post coming soon with my faves) and later went to La Tasca for tapas.

The weather was very hot & humid so I wore loose, cool clothes and ballet pumps to be as comfy as possible in the heat!

I wore; a Topshop semi-sheer blouse, Topshop skater skirt, New Look ballet flats & carried my Miu Miu 'Vitello Lux' bow bag!

Summer Style

I arrived back home to the UK from Crete, Greece 13 days ago and seem to have brought the Sun with me!
I am absolutely loving this heatwave and all the fabulous Summer Styles I can finally wear!
For day time I love wearing loose dresses, sandals and hats to stay chic but cool- especially if i'm shopping!
For work-wear, go for natural colours that will reflect the light away! i.e.: don't wear too much black!

Cute & Casual Look: Dress- Zara ; Hat- Warehouse ; Sandals- Stylist Pick ; Shopper Bag- Zara

Business Chic Look: Dress- Zara ; Sunglasses- Gucci ; Heels- Topshop ; Tote Bag- Mulberry

Sorry!

Hi everyone! I cannot believe how quickly time has flown ... it's slightly depressing! Apologies for my serious lack of blogging- be assured that I still read all of yours practically every day!

The past few months for me have been pretty awful, starting with my last laptop suddenly breaking and me losing absolutely everything on it! I was using my phone from October - January so couldn't really update my blog which sucked! (but could still shop online- yay!).

Since then me and my boyfriend have had really bad luck personally, with his grandparents being unwell and my dad was sadly diagnosed with cancer (please keep us in your prayers!). He seems to be doing really well, thankfully!

I now feel like it's the right time to get my life organised again and really get back on track so I cannot wait to share recent pics and buys etc! Stay tuned!

Lots and lots of love,

Halloween Weekend!

Before I get into this post I just want to let everyone know that my laptop suddenly died on me two days ago! So I can't really do any posts until it's fixed because this one is ridiculously slow :(
However, until it's fixed, here are some pictures of my look from a Halloween party on Saturday! I went as Twilight's Bella (vampire version!). I will go into more detail when I can post properly!
Hope you all have an amazing Halloween, whatever you are doing!

Recent Outfits...

Some pictures from recent nights out! I'm annoyed at myself for not getting any whole outfit shots! (But i've put a picture of the shoe underneath so you can get the idea!)

1: TFNC London sequin dress, Balenciaga envelope clutch bag, Zara glitter sandals.
2. ASOS lace back skater dress, Chanel 2.55 Flap bag, YSL Tribute sandals.

I really love both outfits! I'm looooving the metallic, sparkly trend right now, so I loved pairing up the TFNC London dress with my Zara glitter heels for a girly, chic shimmering look! I carried a Balenciaga clutch to add some edge!
The white ASOS skater dress is one of my favourite dresses and I love being able to dress it up and down! The back of the dress is fabulous sheer lace! I paired this dress with metallic pewter YSL Tribute sandals and my Chanel 2.55 flap bag!

Wearing Burgundy

I did a post (see here) a couple of weeks ago on the current burgundy trend, and have since picked up a few gorgeous pieces! I'm now thinking of Wintery ways to style burgundy, so here's a few ideas!

First things first- makeup! I think, if you are going to use burgundy tones in your make up, it's best to keep the rest simple, as burgundy is very bold! I would personally use burgundy for my eyes and/or lips, keeping the rest really subtle!

I am in love with Kristen's shimmering, smouldering eyes here! I love how she kept the rest of her makeup neutral and subtle using very little blusher and nude lipgloss.

I personally feel that for a gorgeous Winter look, burgundy looks fabulous against bronzes, golds and blacks! Have a lovely Monday! Lots of Love,

Christmas Wishlist 2012

It's officially that time of year again! I love the festive season, and I know as soon as the Halloween festivities start, it's time to start getting ready for Christmas! I'm lusting over sparkle and super fabulous pieces this Winter- here's my (current) wishlist ;)

I have a feeling 'Santa' has already picked up on my 'subtle' hints, so i'm ridiculously excited for Christmas! What are you wishing for this year?

Kristen's Look For Less!

Kristen Stewart has without a doubt become a style icon in recent months! Her edgy, minimal look is just so effortless, sophisticated & purely stunning! When I heard Kristen was the new face of Balenciaga, I immediately thought they've found the perfect girl to represent the brand- just like them she's bold, edgy & effortlessly sexy!
Her recent go-to look on the red carpet has been pairing up sophisticated bodycon dresses with pointy stiletto heels, minimal jewellery & bold, but simple, make up.

Autumn Trend- Burgundy

Deep Reds are very on trend this Autumn! Shopping this week, I noticed so many people wearing gorgeous burgundy pieces- including accessories and make up! I also lusted over many of the pieces I came across in the many fabulous shops in Liverpool! I am in love with this colour, it's the perfect shade for Autumn- reminding me of a rich, warm mulled wine!
For a fabulous, warm, wintery look, i'd match deep reds with blacks, golds and browns!

Get the Point!

The past few months, I couldn't help but notice a rapid rise in pointed high heels! Its safe to say the pointy high heel trend is well and truly back, and at it's height this past month especially, with my favourite celeb style icons wearing them at all the big September events, such as NY Fashion Week and the film festivals.

1&7: Manolo Blahnik 'BB' Pointed Pumps, 2&3: Jimmy Choo 'Anouk' Pumps, 4: Proenza Schouler colourblock cap toe pumps, 5: Christian Louboutin Pigalle Spikes 120 studded leather pumps, 6: Lanvin Pointed-Toe Asymmetric Leather Pumps, 8,9,10&11: Casadei 'Blade' pointed pumps

I absolutely love really high, pointed heels! They are so timeless, classic, look amazing with anything, and give you a super sexy and sophisticated look! They can be worn with jeans, skinny pants, dresses and even for work!
I plan on buying many pairs, but i'm desperate to splurge on a pair of Christian Louboutin Pigalle heels in black patent (The 120 obviously) because I actually cannot think of a more perfect, classic, sexy shoe! For me, it's THE pointy heel.
But until I can afford the splurge, i've been looking at High Street alternatives, and quite frankly, i'm spoilt for choice! Here are some of my favourites.

1: Boutique 9 'Justine' Pumps, 2: Topshop 'Galactic' studded heels, 3: Dune 'Bernie' Leopard Pointed Heels, 4: Zara 'Mirrored Court Shoe', 5: Topshop 'Game2' pointed heels, 6: Shoemint 'Kathryn' leather pointed pumps

Some from Down Under...

I had THE most awesome time in Australia, but I will not forget the 4 days we spent in Singapore on the way there! The culture is incredible, the weather, people, food and SHOPPING! OMG Orchard Road- Abercrombie & Fitch, Prada, Miu Miu, Chanel... all on one road!

Here are some pictures from my trip! (Click to enlarge)

At the pool in Singapore Novotel- Clarke Quay

Being Traditional! Eating at a food market, in the middle of the road!

Amazing food!

Our first stop in Australia was Sydney
Even though it was their winter, I couldn't resist Bondi beach,
I think the Australians thought I was insane!

Running into the waves :)

After drying off!

Sydney is just stunning!

Sydney Harbour Bridge!

Our next stop was the Gold Coast, warmer winter weather! It's literally surfer's paradise!

Then we headed up to Tropical North Queensland (Hooray hot weather!)
I can't even describe how beautiful the beaches and rainforests are. View from my hotel room at the

Crocodile in the rainforest!

I loved walking along those beaches, I love that life!

The Great Barrier Reef!

I went to a family wedding up in Cairns, it was just perfect!

I took over a thousand pictures while I was away and I can't wait to share more of them, there's just so many! I had an amazing time, and I can't wait to go back!
